Who can join?
The membership is open to all non-governmental organisations and institutions working in the field of education, science and culture, that wish to participate in the creation and development of the open culture movement.

You will become a part of a community of professionals in the field of open resources, open science and open source. We also have experts in copyright and open licences among us.
trainings and events
You will be able to take part in free trainings on copyright and open licences and on preparation of accessible educational materials online.
We have a copyright lawyer on standby duty.
You will be able to take part in the organisation of our regular events: Open Access Week, Public Domain Day, Open Education Week. Every year we organise a reunion of Coalition members.
projects and initiatives
You will take part in grass-root actions such as drafting positions and recommendations. We have organised an action against the ban on taking pictures in museums, on making photocopies in libraries, sent a letter to Scholaris on the possibility of including open access publications, we have also designed an e-learning course on Open Access.
know-how
You will join the mailing list of the KOED Council which is a channel for distribution of information on openness, links to news, legal proposals etc. We discuss and analyse legal issues and offer necessary support.
Our new members who conduct trainings will receive paper versions of publications on open access. Our openness animators receive materials for trainings such as e.g. Guide to OER or gadgets promoting the Coalition.
